We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Jack & Rosemarie Warriner Scholarship. This scholarship was created to remember their enduring work and commitment to learning. Both spent their careers in the Hawai‘i public school system. Jack Warriner provided leadership at Kailua High School and Wai‘anae High School. Rosemarie Warriner nurtured students across Windward Oahu schools including Castle High School and Kalaheo High School as well as at Olomana School and Kailua Intermediate. She also spent part of her career in the Windward District office. Jack and Rosemarie Warriner were committed to public education and their careers reflected their commitment in the many ways they worked to reach students and empower teachers.
Eligibility
- Be of Native Hawaiian Ancestry
- Be a resident of the State of Hawai‘i
- Be referred by an approved NHCTEP educational partner
- Received a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Be enrolled full-time in a AA or AS – Associates degree program within the UH System
- Maintain a 2.0 or higher grade point average (GPA)
Terms and Conditions
- The Jack & Rosemarie Warriner Scholarship continues their legacy of supporting students by providing a $1,000.00 award to a degree-seeking student in Hawai‘i for expenses such as textbooks and materials. The award is renewable for each succeeding term/semester as funds allow.
